Jordanna Schutz

Jordanna invests in, advises, and sometimes launches early stage companies. She focuses on medical technologies, data analytics, civic and financial platforms, digital sustainability, family care, and hard technologies. 

Jordanna previously managed new products and businesses at bluemountain.com, founded a financial transaction platform called Lucidity Inc., and served on the board of Provide Commerce during its IPO and acquisition. She also has worked in the public service, holding positions in security and defense for the U.S. government, including working in a Presidential Administration. 

She is currently on the boards of Cytovale, is a board observer with Ceres Nano, and works closely with WiCare. She is an Operating Partner with Blackhorn Ventures, and manages Birchaven Group. She also serves on several non-profit boards including Starfall Education, and she is on the National Advisory Board of the Union of Concerned Scientists.  

She holds an AB in Physics and Mathematics from Harvard University, an MS from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, and an MBA from the MIT.

Jack Fuchs

Jack Fuchs invests in early stage startups, mentors founding teams, and occasionally serves as CFO for promising new companies. He focuses on life sciences, internet technology, and industrial engineering.  A teacher at heart, Jack is a Lecturer in entrepreneurship at Stanford. 

Jack has served as CFO for emerging companies including NextBio. a big-data genomics company, Motiv Power Systems, a commercial electric vehicle company, and ForteBio, a private life sciences technology company. He has held leadership positions at public and private companies including IPWireless and Lumitrend, both of which yielded successful exits.  

 

Previously in his career, Jack held several senior positions with Becton Dickinson & Company and was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company. 

 

Jack is currently on the board of Cytovale, Motiv Power Systems, and Aperia, and is a board observer with Ceres Nano.

 

He holds an AB in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford University.
